| Mia Elizabeth Guthrie passed away on July 27, 2007 at 10:45pm.
I held her in my arms and she took her VERY last breath and her heart stopped. She was FREE from all the pains and sufferings she had gone through so much throughout 4 horrible months in the PCTU!
It'll be a while for me to be back after making funeral arrangements for Mia.
Mia, you're our little WARRIOR!!! She's in our hearts FOREVER and ALWAYS!!!

| Day 90.......(I can't believe its been 3 months already- 13 weeks!)
Mia had a surgery this morning to have a tracha in through her throat. Her venticular through her mouth is gone. Everything looks much better. Her vitals are very good. They're weaning down her vent. Right now, she's resting comofrtable and heavy sedated so she doesn't feel any pains from the tracha.
Of course, we were devastated that Mia needs a tracha. We were hoping that she would beat it and be able to breathe on her own. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. She ended up getting a tracha. Its not a permenant thing. Who knows she may have it removed before releasing her to home. Never know.
Otherwise, we have to learn how to change and clean Mia's tracha everyday. We have homework to do tonight to watch a dvd about how to take care with a tracha. Its very scary! I'm not 100% accept yet. It'll take awhile for me to get used to it. I didn't like how it looked on her. When I first saw her with the tracha, I couldn't hold back but cried. Mia has had gone through so so much for 90 days!!
My emotional is like a rollercoaster!! Its driving me crazy!! Its hard! at the meantime, I've been trying to think postive as much as possible for Mia and Mason, too. My babies need me. If I am falling apart, they will fall apart too. So, I cannot let that happen. They're so so important to me!!! I have to be strong for Mia.
We don't know how long or how soon Mia will be able to go home. Its depending on her fluids and her vent on how much she's able to breathe on her own. Her fluids drainage has reduced which is good.
Probably next week, when she's well and able to start eating real food and walk around to get her strengths back. They wanted to start feeding her sometimes this weekend or next week. Right now they wanted Mia NOT to move at all for 3 days. They wanted her to rest and let her tracha heal really good first.
That's pretty much about all so far. We will see how she's progressing with the tracha this week. Hopefully it will help her improve and go HOME!!!!
You ALL have a WONDERFUL 4th of July!!! Xo | | |
